Hosted by the California Department of Insurance (CDI), the Insurance Diversity Summit (Summit) is our signature event that is designed to share the latest insights, policies and opportunities that impact supplier and board diversity issues within California's multi-billion dollar insurance industry among key industry stakeholders. 


Given the dual mission of the Department's nationally-recognized Insurance Diversity Program that is focused on advancing both supplier and board diversity, the Summit provides a unique platform to engage leaders from the board and C-suite to supplier diversity and procurement sourcing specialists. This approach is designed to foster greater transparency on the state of diversity within the nation's largest insurance market.


This year's Summit explores 'Resilience Reimagined: Shaping an Inclusive Future' to explore how business leaders navigate challenges to find success across California's insurance market.


History

Since 2012, CDI has hosted an annual Insurance Diversity Summit that is provided free of charge and attended by members of the public who are primarily owners of diverse business enterprises, insurer representatives, procurement leaders, and other interested stakeholders. Historically, the one-day event includes an agenda filled with business matchmaking sessions, business-to-business networking, workshops, and a Resource Expo that features exhibitors from diverse certification agencies, diverse chambers of commerce, and other business representatives whose goods and/or services would provide value for insurance companies.
