| WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and Eugene Rec for a downstream float and river cleanup from Alton Baker Park to the River House Outdoor Center. We will collect trash from both the water and the adjacent riverbanks. Reserve a seat in one of our rafts or bring along your own boat!
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, November 11, 2025 | 8:30AM - 1:00PM Volunteers with Seats in Rafts: Please meet at the River House Outdoor Center, 301 N. Adams Street, at 8:30AM. We will leave personal vehicles there and shuttle to the put-in at Alton Baker Park boat ramp in a City of Eugene bus. BYOBr's: Please unload your boat at Alton Baker Park Boat Ramp by 8:45AM. We will shuttle you back to your rig at the end of the day.
DETAILS: Please be on time - we will run a shuttle from the take out (River House) to the put in (Alton Baker boat ramp) at 8:45am. If you are running late, please text event coordinator Luke Stuntz (see below for info). Once we arrive at the put-in, we will go over the cleanup plan and conduct a safety briefing before heading out. Please dress for the weather and the water – it will likely be cold and wet! Please bring your own water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event. PFDs will be provided for those reserving a seat in a raft.
