As part of our first Ag Committee meeting, we’ll be reviewing what is already happening in Meeker County across four focus areas:

• Youth Education & Engagement: Help young people and the public understand career opportunities in agriculture through local education, community outreach, hands-on experiences, and strengthened agricultural literacy.

• Agriculture Education & Awareness: Increase understanding of agriculture across the community, connecting with the ag industry, and promoting awareness of current agricultural practices and policy.

• Supporting Local Farmers & Networking: Support local farmers, build connections among businesses, and facilitate discussions on key topics such as land values, commodity prices, and programs for young farmers.



• Policy & Advocacy: Engage with local agricultural policy and legislators while strengthening ties within the ag industry to support informed decision-making and advocacy efforts.

To help guide our discussion, we are asking you to complete the short survey below before the meeting. This survey is not for new ideas—it's specifically to capture current programs, events, partnerships, and efforts already taking place within these categories.
