About this project- I.C.O.N. Independence Champions Of Non-Discrimation

To assist the citizens of Independence and local employers, we have embarked on an initiative to gauge the interest of the business community as it relates to fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

Our goal:

To recognize local businesses that demonstrate concrete efforts to embrace a workplace culture that is diverse and adheres to the principles of non-discrimination. From this, we will construct a set of best-practices that can then be highlighted in the community as well as shared with other interested parties.

Our process:

The following is a questionnaire to submit to local businesses. These questions will gauge the current level of participation in fair hiring practices as well as identify businesses that are interested in increasing their awareness. Businesses can obtain a widget for their site after completion of the questionnaire to state their commitment to non-discrimination.
