CT Hort Cares Grant Application

Thank you for applying for a CT Hort Cares grant. Please tell us about your project. We aim to support community activities that bolster the mission of our organization “…to encourage the enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of plants, the environment, and the art and science of gardening.”


Please be aware that grants must be requested BEFORE the start of a project. Completed projects will not be considered.


We ask that those awarded grants report back on the progress of their project; including photos, which may be used in our communications. We also request that CT Hort be recognized for their support of your efforts. If fitting, we will provide a simple garden marker or a plaque for this purpose.


We have no restrictions on who can apply but the grant must be used on a project taking place in the state of Connecticut. The maximum amount that can be requested is $500.


We are accepting proposals through April 30, 2023 with grants awarded on May 15, 2023. Applicants will be notified via email of the status of their application.
