The Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall is in the early stages of developing a Teen Library Council (or, TLC)! We are hoping to gauge interest in this opportunity.

This would be a volunteer-based council for teens ages 12-18. The purpose of the TLC is to give teen library patrons a voice in the Andrew Carnegie Free Library’s services and programming. We are looking for teens who would like to make a difference in their Library and in their community. You may earn service hours for this opportunity.

Some examples of things that the TLC may do include: recommending materials for the library to purchase, representing the library in the community, as well as potentially creating and leading library programs. However, the TLC will be shaped and led by those who are involved so we welcome all ideas for projects.

We are aiming to begin TLC meetings in early 2025.
