Yukiya has always had a bit of a wandering soul: born in Japan, started in Germany (read About Us in www.yukiyabakery.com), and popping up all over the Triangle—sometimes at year-round farmers’ markets, other times at one-time events, like the Peach, Pumpkin, and Watermelon fests at Phillips Farms, or the Raleigh International Food Festival, Asia Fest, cultural events at Koka Booth or the NCMA, and lively brewery and plaza pop-ups—wherever there’s joy, we love to join in.
Lately, we’ve been so humbled to hear you say: “I drove all the way from Wake Forest just to find you!” or “When are you coming back to Durham?” or "I'm not a regular of this market, just came today for you". Your excitement to track us down makes our hearts full. We're humbled.
One day, we hope you won’t have to wonder where Yukiya will turn up next—you’ll find us exactly where you want us. And when that day comes, don’t worry: we won’t trade our spirit (or our slow, old-school methods and local ingredients) for the corporate polish in the pic. We’ll always stay true to the care, patience, and love you already know us for. Until then, please keep giving us feedback, and we’ll do our best to realize it.
With so much gratitude, Yukiya. |
