Citizen of the Year Criteria:

• Nominee must be an individual residing in the 94505-zip code.
• Nominee must currently participate in humanitarian/volunteer activities that make a difference in the Town of Discovery Bay and/or the community at large and Inspires Others by their example.
• Nominee must be an outstanding role model, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Discovery Bay.
• Nominee volunteers, supports and demonstrates their collaborative spirit through creative partnerships with community organizations, various business and civic organizations.
• Nominee actively contribute to the community by volunteering, providing support, and forgoing creative alliances with local organizations, businesses, and civic groups.
• Their actions set a shining example that motivates and uplifts those around them.      
• Must Have not won within the past last seven (7) years.
