AFP Ottawa Survey 2021-22

This is a completely anonymous survey and your responses will be held in the strictest of confidence by the AFP Ottawa Board and Staff and are not tied to your membership or personal information.

Why are we surveying you?

We are surveying current and recently lapsed members in order to help leaders, staff and volunteers involved with AFP Ottawa understand the preferences, needs, perspectives and experiences of fundraising professionals in our region who are served by our AFP Global Vision and Mission:

  • Vision: To stimulate a world of generosity and positive social good through fundraising best practice.
  • Mission: The Association of Fundraising Professionals empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy.


Therefore, the questions we’ve chosen to ask you involve programming, membership benefits, perceived value, and more.


We want to understand what you need to succeed!

We have also included a second (optional, but encouraged) section around the demographics of our members. Please note that due to the way we built the survey, none of your responses will be tied to your membership or personal information. We want to understand who we are (or were) serving, so that we can do better, especially with respect to becoming more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible.

There are incentive prizes for completion!! Everyone who completes the entire survey by December 31 will be entered to win one of two prizes: a set of Apple AirPods, and a $100 gift card to a locally-owned (Ottawa/Gatineau) business.
