| LaSTEM recognizes that serious STEM talent gaps exist in our state. We also recognize at the heart of the STEM talent gap are individual students, graduates, and job seekers looking for access to opportunity. All stakeholders who educate, employ, or surround these individuals can expand opportunities by re-imagining practice – if we work together!
Following the Federal Department of Education's new initiative announcement of ‘You Belong in STEM’, the 2023 Annual LaSTEM Summit theme will be ‘Louisiana’s Future Belongs To You!’. This theme plays on the Federal initiative and also speaks to the need for more Louisiana citizens to be involved in the STEM workforce in the state.
The LaSTEM Summit is an annual conference whose goal is to strengthen PK-16 STEM education (K to grey!) throughout Louisiana and the nation. This year's event will bring together educators, business leaders, government officials and others who play a role in STEM education to share ideas and resources. The Summit will feature both informative panels and breakout sessions.
Interested in presenting?
We are seeking presenters for breakout sessions (K-12 Teacher workshops, promising practice presentations, mini-panel discussions, student voices) and STEMChats (think prerecorded quick talks on a topic or an industry spotlight) on essential STEM education topics.

Initial 'Call for Presenters' application window will close on 3/14/23 at 5 pm CST. Participants selected to present at the 2023 Annual LaSTEM Summit will be contacted no later than 4/21/2023.
Applications to present received after 3/14/23 will be considered on a 'as needed' basis. |
