I, the undersigned, do hereby notify Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, Inc. and/or its designee(s) of my intent to place my name in running for candidacy to the Board of Directors. This is as required and in accordance with the Bylaws: Article III, Section 9 & Article IV, Section 2-B.

for Board of Directors of the Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens

Candidates should reference Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens By-Laws Article IV, Section 2-B Qualifications of a Director as follows:

Qualifications of a Director. Prior to assuming a seat of the Board, all elected and appointed Directors must have completed a minimum of twenty-five (25) hours of volunteer work for Friends, fifteen (15) hours of which must have been at The Gardens. Any person who is elected as a Director must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older, hold and maintain a current Friends’ Membership, have demonstrated an awareness of the purposes and needs of Friends and have committed to actively participate as a Director. Directors shall attend their scheduled meetings, all Friends’ events at The Gardens and all Membership events whenever possible. At all times, Directors shall be residents of the State of Florida and citizens of the United States of America. No paid employee of Friends may serve as a Director. No two (2) members of a family unit (i.e. husband/wife, parent/child, siblings, significant others, etc.) shall serve as Directors at the same time. The Director terms/qualifications contained herein shall not be modified.
