The CareerHub 2024 Connecticut Youth Employment Summer Program (CYEP) application.


Applications are being accepted and will close effective April 19, 2024, at 4:00 pm EST.

You will only be notified of the status of your application by email. We cannot guarantee a response if your application is not submitted using a private email.

 

To submit an application, you must:

 

1. Be at least age 14 and not older than 24 by July 1, 2024

2. Be a resident of one of the cities/towns we serve (see document #3)

3. Be eligible to work in the United States; and

4. Meet at least one of the following income criteria:

 

  • is eligible for free or reduced lunch during the most recent or current school year;
  • is a recipient of SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps);
  • is a recipient of Temporary Family Assistance (TANF);
  • is a recipient of State Administered General Assistance (SAGA) - cash or medical;
  • is a youth with disability;
  • is a foster child;
  • is pregnant or is a custodial parent;
  • is a member of a family whose income is equal to or less than 185% of the 2024 federal poverty level.

 

We anticipate instituting a lottery due to high demand and limited slots. Eligible applicants who are randomly selected are required to interview with WorkPlace staff and submit all required documents. Applications are only accepted online. No in-person or paper applications will be accepted.

 

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Information is collected through a secure, encrypted website and will only be used for the 2024 CYEP and only be shared with The WorkPlace and CYEP partners.

If selected for an interview, please be ready to submit the completed form for the interview appointment, along with your eligibility documents. Additional Supportive Services Available, if selected to participate in the 2024 CT Youth Employment Program.
