| We are seeking to award two $6,000 fellowships to dedicated and experienced creative individuals or culture bearers working in any discipline - visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, folk or traditional arts, artisans or crafts people, etc. Nominees must be 21 years or older and physically reside in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen County in the state of Minnesota.
The intent of the Fellowship Award is to honor and celebrate creative individuals and culture bearers who show excellence and dedication to their creative practice, and who also have one or more of the following:
- a substantial independent body of work
- previous awards or other acknowledgements for their creative work
- performances, presentations, or publications of original work
- selection for commissions, festivals, or artist residencies
- selection for peer learning or exchange opportunities
- commercial music or video recordings of their work
- solo exhibitions, readings, or performances
