* Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., has introduced the Parents Opt-in Protection Act, which would require parental consent before students participate in surveys or evaluations that collect sensitive information. The bill comes after Illinois passed a law for annual mental health screenings for students in grades 3 through 12 starting in the 2027-28 school year. Do you agree with this proposal?
