Event Opportunities St. Louis Art Fair – Join us on September 9 and 10 (Saturday and Sunday) to help spread the word about Rohan Woods School. We need at least two RWS adults (parents, faculty, or staff) on each shift to answer questions about the school and keep the art project moving along. The art project for this year is paper plate crowns. A separate schedule will be sent with specific times to sign-up.
Picture Day Volunteers – Volunteers are needed to help Picture Day run smoothly. Picture Day will be held on Thursday, September 14 from 7:30am to 11:00am.
Garden Party – This event is our Annual Fund "Kick Off" Party where families can get together and enjoy an evening as a community. A few volunteers are needed to help with set-up on Friday, September 29. Everything else is taken care of so you can enjoy the event!
Book Fair Volunteers – We are looking for very organized volunteers to help us with the fall Scholastic Book Fair held October 9-13 (Monday-Friday). Positions include setting up the fair, checking out shoppers, helping shoppers locate books, and packing up the fair. A separate schedule will be sent with specific times to sign-up.
Trunk or Treat – Halloween is a big party at Rohan Woods and parent volunteers are needed for decorations, games, set up, clean-up, etc. The festivities happen on Saturday, October 28 and volunteers will be needed beginning at 2:00pm.
Parent Gift Wrap for Faculty – Help spoil our faculty and staff by wrapping their holiday gifts for them on Friday, December 8 at 8:00am in the Rohan Woods Art room.
Science Night - Mrs. Hunnicutt has an exciting new event planned for this year! Help manage the event on Friday, December 8 from 5:00-7:00pm as families go from room-to-room conducting an extravaganza of science experiments.
Floor Hockey Tournament Concessions – Sign up to help Coach Mueth with concession sales on Saturday, January 27.
Global Gathering/Global Studies – Help our children learn about customs and traditions associated with people of various backgrounds. We are excited to host the second annual Global Gathering on February 8 at 5:00pm and Global Studies on February 9 at 8:00am. For Global Gathering, we will need volunteers to provide culinary dishes, as well as provide set-up and clean-up. For Global Studies, we need volunteers for event planning and logistics.
Teacher Appreciation Week – Beginning Monday through Friday, May 6 until May 10, volunteers are needed to help plan and execute efforts to show RWS teachers how much their sacrifices and support for students are appreciated.
Field Day – This exciting end of the year event is on the last day of school (Friday, May 24, 9-11:30am). This school-wide extravaganza includes games, water sports, and tons of fun!
Fundraising Opportunities Dinner Auction/Gala Volunteer – This is a fantastic community builder that takes many talented volunteers to coordinate and plan. The Dinner Auction/Gala will be at The Magic House on Saturday, April 27.
General and Ongoing Opportunities Sign Volunteers – Help distribute various signs to our students’ front yards! Signs include birthday signs, open house signs, and welcome signs. This is a great way to recognize our current and new students, and also promote our wonderful school.
Library – The Library is the central hub of our school and needs general ongoing support during the school year. Under the supervision of Mrs. Karr (EC), parents come on a regular basis to help organize and put away books, help students shop, and keep the area looking organized and welcoming. |
