| These CalMHSA-approved trainings provide 40 hours of focused instruction designed to expand the skills of certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists. Each specialization equips participants with knowledge and tools in targeted areas with the goal to enhance peer specialists' ability to serve diverse communities effectively. Our trainings explore four areas of specialization:
- Parent, Caregiver, and Family Member peer services
- Crisis Care peer services
- Unhoused peer services
- Justice-Involved peer services
While we are fully approved to provide these sessions, we currently have no scheduled dates for live-instruction trainings. To ensure a high-quality and collaborative learning experience, launching a live-instruction cohort depends on both trainer availability and meeting a minimum of 15 fully funded registrants.

- Notify you as soon as training dates are scheduled (2.5-hour live sessions on TWTh for 4 weeks).
- Provide updates regarding when scholarships or funding opportunities are available.

not
state certified, you must complete the Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist core competency training to participate in specialization trainings.
