Mahoning Valley TreeCorps is an initiative led by YNDC, Youngstown CityScape, Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, the Healthy Community Partnership, along with many community partners. TreeCorps will restore and sustain the urban tree canopy in the cities of Youngstown Ohio, and Warren Ohio, in order to improve health, and make the urban forest accessible to all to support a vibrant and healthy neighborhood.

These trees are planted in parks, tree lawns, and public green spaces throughout Youngstown and Warren. We will not plant trees in front yards, back yards, and side yards of private residential homes or other non-public areas. 

The benefits of planting trees in the city are enormous for the residents and the environment. Healthy shade trees in neighborhoods reduce air pollution from cars and factories, provide needed summer shade, cool your home and reduce energy bills, encourage outdoor physical activity, improve mental health and wellness, improve property values, and have even shown to help reduce crime.

By submitting this form, you are indicating that:

1. You are the owner of the property referenced in the address line above or authorized to speak on the owner's behalf.
2. You approve YNDC and its partners to plant a tree in the tree lawn in front of your property and verify that you want a tree there.
3. You understand that this tree is being planted at no cost to you and comes with no warranty or guarantee from YNDC or any other entity.
4. You understand that trees planted by TreeCorps will be 2” caliper in size (between 8 and 14 feet tall when planted), and will include a variety of species that are suitable to site conditions and will follow The City of Youngstown Shade Tree Guidelines.
5. You will be responsible for long term maintenance of the tree once planted. TreeCorps will assist with initial watering and tree care as determined necessary by program staff during the first three years of establishment. This will NOT include leaf removal or lawn care/maintenance. 

NOTE: Completion of this form is an expression of interest in a tree and a commitment to stewarding the tree if planted. It is does NOT guarantee that Youngstown CityScape/TreeCorps will be able to plant a tree.
