Official WESTIES 2023 Nominations Are Open!

Since 2005, the Westlake Chamber of Commerce has recognized outstanding Westlake community members for their efforts over the past year. Emphasis is placed on community and philanthropic endeavors as well as economic impact.


The Westlake Chamber of Commerce invites you to nominate outstanding Westlake community members of 2023.


New Business of the Year

Business of the Year

Non-Profit of the Year

Educator of the Year

Young Entrepreneur(s) of the Year

Young Citizen of the Year

Citizen of the Year


You may submit nominations for any and all of the seven categories.

Nominations accepted through December 15th, 2023.


The top three nominees in each category will be named as Finalists by a Nominating

Committee. Finalists will be announced and voting will open in January 2024.


Finalists will be recognized and winners will be announced at the 2024 WESTIES Luncheon on

Friday, March 1st 2024 at Austin Country Club (new venue).

Keynote Speaker is Sam Ehlinger,

former Westlake High School, University of Texas and current Indianapolis Colts Quarterback.

Tickets will go on sale in January 2024.

WESTLAKE 2023 NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

This WESTIE will be given to a business that has been open for less than two years in the greater Westlake area. They should have also demonstrated one or more of the following: Growth and Stability, Commitment

to Quality, Creative or Unique Solutions to Challenges, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and/or an Overall Contribution to the Westlake community.

2023 WESTLAKE EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

This WESTIE will go to a Westlake area teacher or administrator in recognition of his or her outstanding contributions to the educational community and to the enrichment in the lives of children through academic achievement. He or she inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn, has the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues, and plays an active and useful role in the community as well as in the school.
