Thank you for your interest in becoming a Reading Partner through the Enid Chamber’s new "Leaders with Readers" initiative!

Reading Partners will meet with assigned second-grade students for a consistent 30-minute time each week, providing additional reading practice, encouragement and support for the literacy skills they are developing in the classroom. With materials and activities provided by teachers, volunteers will have the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with young readers while investing in their continued growth and success.

* By submitting this application, I acknowledge that I am willing to commit to a weekly assigned 30-minute time block from mid-October 2026 to late April 2027 when school is in session. Should I need to miss my scheduled time (for business or personal travel, illness, etc.), I agree to communicate with Enid Chamber as far in advance as possible so they can coordinate with a substitute reader.

Next steps: Volunteers will be assigned by the Enid Chamber based on the individual school's needs and student count. We will do every effort to match volunteers with their desired school, if one was identified. Please note that submission of this form does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a Reading Partner. Someone from the Enid Chamber will reach out on Tuesday, October 6 to all applicants to let them know if they have been matched with one of our partner schools.
