ALIGN is calling for workshop presentations for the 2025 Strengthening Today; Building Tomorrow Conference.  


This 2-day learning event takes place every January in Edmonton, Alberta, and is designed for human services employees and includes presentations for senior leaders, board members, supervisors, and front-line workers. Approximately 250 people attend the conference each year.


The ongoing success of this conference is a result of ensuring we have knowledgeable presenters who are passionate in their areas of expertise. If you have a topic you think our participants would like to learn more about, please complete our online application.


The ALIGN Conference Committee will review all submissions. Upon acceptance, the committee will contact you in late August/September 2024. If you have questions about this form or about the conference, please contact Mista Zaugg at [email protected] or 587-635-4104.

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT - Please read and answer ALL the questions below to complete your submission.
* I understand I will be responsible for my own travel, accomodations and expenses. (If you are an exception please ensure you have details in written form from ALIGN prior to submitting this agreement)
* I understand I will be responsible for bringing my own laptop. *Mac users should consider bringing projector connections to reduce potential tech issues.
* I understand I will be responsible for photocopies for my presentation(s). ALIGN staff will inform speakers of the number of attendees approximately 10 days before the conference.
* I understand that if I want feedback on my presentation(s) I will be responsible for providing my own survey.
* I understand that a maximum of 2 presenters from my session may attend the conference, including meals and other sessions, on the day we present without charge. Any additional presenters must register for the conference at the speaker rates provided to participate in anything other than delivering the session. I also understand that if I or my co-presenters would like to attend the conference on a day we are not presenting, we must register for the additional day at the speaker rate provided.
* I will notify ALIGN's representatives if there are any changes that will affect either my attendance at the event or the workshop(s) I've offered to provide.
* I understand that one or more presentations may be cancelled if less than 15 people register for the presentation. **Notice will be provided a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance.
* I understand that each session is scheduled for 90 minutes, and I am responsible for ensuring my presentation is a suitable length to engage the participants for the entire time.
