DCBHA 2024 Membership

Thank you for your interest in 2024 membership in the District of Columbia Behavioral Health Association. The District of Columbia Behavioral Health Association advances high-quality, whole-person care for District residents with mental illness or substance use disorders. Through membership, your organization benefits from DCBHA's work in policy advocacy, training and technical assistance, and community engagement. DCBHA provides a space to learn from colleagues and share your own insights in navigating through the District's behavioral health landscape and making connections to other activities that affect the lives of District residents. Through DCBHA membership, your organization also gains membership in the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and discounted rates on their products and services.


This form is intended to simplify DCBHA's information collection process and eliminate the need for your organization to send back a paper form.

For Member Agency Direct Service Providers

District of Columbia Behavioral Health Association member agencies are organizations that provide behavioral health services in the District of Columbia or for District of Columbia residents. DC behavioral health services include, but are not limited to: DBH-Certified MHRS, ASARS (including MAT or Recovery Support Services), or ASTEP services, DBH CRF (Residential) services, DBH direct service contracts or Human Care Agreements, Free Standing Mental Health Clinics, Professional Mental Health or Addiction Treatment Services (including those provided in private practice groups, physician practice groups, or FQHCs) - Commercial Insurance / Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid MCO managed care, and DC Healthcare Alliance.


If your organization provides DC behavioral health services and fewer than 30% of the people your organization serves qualify for DC Medicaid or DC Alliance, your organization may qualify for a discounted rate. If your organization is a Family Run Organization, Peer-Operated Organization, Harm Reduction Organization, or Community Residential Facility that provides no other DC behavioral health services listed above, your organization also may be eligible for a discounted rate. New members or rejoining members are eligible to have dues pro rated 25% per quarter. If your organization is joining after March 31, 2024, reduce the amount owed by 25%. If your organization is joining after June 30, 2024, reduce the amount owed by 50%. If your organization is joining after September 30, 2024, please contact [email protected] to bridge 2024 and 2025 dues at a reduced total rate.


Per DCBHA Bylaws, renewing members are not eligible for a pro rated discount, even if payment is delayed, but should contact [email protected] to discuss terms of extended payment if the available options (either for payment in full by March 31, 2024 or for half payment no later than March 31, 2024 and balance by June 30, 2024) create a hardship.
