Section 1 - Contact Information

New students to the program are required to submit a program application form to the Surety Association of Canada's (SAC) head office prior to registering for a course, along with the appropriate registration fee.

Section 2 - Courses

Students must complete six (6) courses; four (4) core courses and two (2) electives.

Final exams for the SAC courses are conducted through an on-line proctoring system.

Please note that the SAC 101 (Principles of Suretyship) course is the pre-requisite for SAC 102 (Contract Surety) and SAC 103 (Construction and Surety Law) courses.

Note: For students who completed the SAC 101 (Principles of Suretyship) from McMaster University or University of Toronto, please have a certified transcript sent to SAC's head office by mail or by email to [email protected]

Fee Structure for Courses:



* Course fee for SAC 101 (Principles of Suretyship) & SAC 102 (Contract Surety): $1,125.00 per course

• Course book (access via Proview License valid for 1 year period).

Note: Students can apply for an exemption for the Introductory Financial Accounting course towards their A.C.S.B. Designation.

To be granted an exemption, students must submit a certified transcript from an accredited university where they successfully completed an equivalent course. This should be submitted to SAC at the time of registration in the program.

If students are granted an exemption, they are still required to complete five (5) courses; three (3) SAC core courses and two (2) elective courses.
