Programs and Events For youth, we currently offer:
- four storytimes each week occurring Monday and Tuesday morning
- a craft program every Thursday afternoon for younger children
- an art appreciation class with hands on instruction for older children on the third Friday afternoon of each month
- a Crazy 8s math club for grades kindergarten through 5th during the school year
- volunteer experience for teenagers in the afternoons after school and during the summer
- During the summer, we have special craft programs, fun science shows, and we serve a free lunch to all children 0-18
For adults, we currently offer:
- craft program in the morning of the third Thursday of the month
- a book club on the first Thursday of the month
- weekly Great Courses recorded lectures every Tuesday morning
- Yoga in the Courtyard every Friday morning
- Senior Appreciation Bingo night the second Wednesday of the month
- Often, we have adult author talks and guest speakers give presentation relating to aging, retirement, social security, and computer classes.

Facilities
The Village of North Palm Beach Public Library is a two-story building consisting of 24,893 square feet. The upper level houses the adult materials collection, the circulation desk, a Florida collection, a Large Print alcove, Computers, the Manager's office, and staff area. The lower level houses the children's material collection, a Young Adult Room, a staff office, the Obert Multi-Purpose Room, and Bob's Garage Multi-Purpose Room. |

Budget Funding for the Library comes from a combination of local government funds, State Aid to Public Libraries grant funds, and donations. For FY23, the library received $1.1 million in funding which covers things such as electricity, water & sewer, phone & internet, office supplies, employee salary, and acquisitions. For physical books, we budgeted for $24,000 for adults, $12,000 for children’s books, and $3,000 for young adults. For Electronic materials, we budgeted for $27,000 for ebooks and audiobooks, and $17,000 for databases. |

Outreach
The Library participates in many Village-wide programs such as Heritage Day, Chili Cook-off, Christmas Trolley Rides and Tree Lighting Ceremony, Halloween Festival, Earth Day programs, and the Resident Art Show. Library staff also invite local schools and daycares to visit for storytimes and to check out books. |

Collections There are over 50,000 items in the North Palm Beach Library’s collection. Formats include print books, large print, DVD, books on CD, e-books, e-audio books, print magazines, electronic magazines, hotspots, and newspapers. For FY2022 the library circulated 77,461 items. |
