MODULE #1

BECOMING A Nav-CARE VOLUNTEER

* 1. Volunteer navigators do not require any prior experience or training.

MODULE #2

ADDRESSING QUALITY OF LIFE

* 1. Quality of life stays stable for each person over time.

* 5. Compassionate Communities focus on improving quality of life for those living with declining health.

MODULE #3

CONNECTING TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES

* 3. Community assessment should focus only on the physical environment of the community.
* 4. Affordability of services is an important aspect to consider when evaluating services in your community.

The volunteer navigator recognizes that the person living with declining health may be needing homecare services sooner than later. The volunteer navigator is aware that there are multiple care providers available in the community but is uncertain about the suitability of those homecare services and how to best access them.
