ALIGN Association of Community Services 2022 Call For Presenters

ALIGN is calling for workshop presentations for the 2022 Strengthening Today; Building Tomorrow Conference.  


This 1-day learning event takes place every January in Edmonton, Alberta, and is designed for human services employees and includes presentations for senior leaders, board members, supervisors, and front-line workers. Approximately 250 people attend the conference each year.


The ongoing success of this conference is a result of ensuring we have knowledgeable presenters who are passionate in their areas of expertise. If you have a topic you think our participants would like to learn more about, please complete our online application.


Please complete the below submission form to be sent to the ALIGN Conference Committee for review. Upon acceptance, the committee will contact you at the beginning of September 2021. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT - Please read and answer ALL the questions below to complete your submission.

* I understand I will be responsible for my own travel, accomodations and expenses. (If you are an exception please ensure you have details in written form from ALIGN prior to submitting this agreement)
* I understand I will be responsible for bringing my own laptop. *Mac users should consider bringing projector connections to reduce potential tech issues.
* I understand I will be responsible for photocopies for my presentation(s). ALIGN staff will inform speakers of the number of attendees approximately 10 days before the conference.
* I understand that if I want feedback on my presentation(s) I will be responsible for providing my own survey.
* I understand I can attend other presentations, and can attend the conference including meals, on the day of my presentation without charge.
* I will notify ALIGN's representatives if there are any changes that will affect either my attendance at the event or the workshop(s) I've offered to provide.
* I understand that one or more presentations may be cancelled if less than 15 people register for the presentation. **Notice will be provided a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance.
* I understand that in-person workshops can be cancelled at any moment due to the Government of Alberta and/or AHS rules regarding Covid, which is out of ALIGN's control.
