2021 Miles and Katharine Culbertson Prentice Distinguished Lecture: An-My Lê
By means of photographs that are at once exacting and ambiguous, An-My Lê interrogates power and identity as they manifest across the landscapes of war and national security. She invites viewers into militarized and surveilled spaces, asking them to consider how violence is enacted and where the true threats to collective and individual safety lie.

In this conversation with Gary Green, Associate Professor of Art at Colby College, Lê will discuss her process, the history and politics of landscape photography, recent projects, and works held in the Colby Museum’s collection.
