Our next book club meetings will be on July 21 at 1:30 pm in the Club and 7:00 pm via Zoom. Our summer selection is The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, a poignant novel about boys in a brutal reform school in the 1960s. This book is loosely based upon reports of the Arthur Dozier Reform School for Negro Boys, where dozens of unmarked graves were discovered of boys who were likely murdered before the school was shut down in 2011.
