| Each year, through the forty days of Lent, the Church unites herself to the mystery of Jesus in the desert. There, Our Lord fasted, prayed, and faced temptation, emerging victorious through trust in the Father, fidelity to truth, and steadfast obedience.
This sacred season calls us to follow Him more closely. As St. John Paul II taught, by entering the Lenten fast, the Church is invited to walk with her Master so that the Gospel may be lived and proclaimed with power.
