In partnership with The Nature Conservancy, Commonplace Landscape and Planning, Save the Bay, SRPEDD and the Town of Middleborough will be hosting a volunteer planting event in the fall of 2025 at Oliver Mill Park in Middleborough, MA. 

This event will install a living willow fence at Oliver Mill Park by weaving willow rods along the bank of the Nemasket River to help protect its water quality. This event serves as part of a larger native perennial installation proposed for the southeast end of the riverbank to help control introduced species and improve water quality through erosion reduction and nutrient uptake. 

Volunteers will work together throughout the day weaving willow rods into a beautiful fence formation that will guard the edge of the stream bank. Sign up below to receive updates about the volunteer day.
