Oldies Dance Party Lindy Hop Beginner Instruction . You are invited! Join Ralph, Nissreen, DJ Ray and a floor full of dancers. Mix and Mingle and dance in the restaurant and lounge. Solos and couples are welcome! Experience a touch of class in the relaxed and casual atmosphere of this recently rebuilt Essex County clubhouse at the East Orange Golf Course, Short Hills.
⭐ 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Lindy Hop Instruction for Beginners by Nissreen. Group lesson begins promptly on the hour. A great icebreaker, no partner needed. The Lindy Hop (or Lindy) is an American partner dance born in the communities of Harlem, New York City, in 1928. Lindy is now widely danced around the world.
Nissreen Almazouni has danced for over 20 years, taught for the past ten in the Tri-State area and performed with many professional dance groups in NYC and at festivals.
⭐ 6:30pm to 7:00pm. Cocktails and Conversation. Meet friends; listen, watch and soak up the dance instruction vicariously. Enjoy a drink and appetizers; have dinner, too!
⭐ 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Oldies Dance! Return with us to those thrilling days of yesteryear; enjoy an evening of dancing and socializing with new friends. DJ Ray will be playing your favorite oldies dance music from the 1940s thru 1960s.
