| This study was requested by the Board of County Commissioners to update the existing Riverview Community Plan in conjunction with the U.S. Highway 301 study by Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) to extend the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway to Big Bend Road. A major infrastructure project affecting U.S. Highway 301 is an opportunity to assess the Riverview Community Plan in terms of land use along and adjacent to the roadway and study mobility options associated with the potential expressway extension.
