| Harold Wilson, is a fifth-generation New Orleanian and the great-grandson of the late Booker T. Glass, one of the pioneers of brass band music in New Orleans. Harold custom makes each umbrella according to the customer's theme request.
The African American community originally created second-line umbrellas for sun protection as they danced on the streets of New Orleans following brass bands celebrating weddings, birthdays, and funerals.
Each umbrella tells a story and presents its own personality to express the theme or occasion.
Harold is passionate about keeping the traditions alive during brass band performances and allowing others to have that experience with the umbrellas.
