ACTT Workshop

Wednesday, May 22, 7 PM ET

Join our workshop and walk away with knowledge and confidence in obtaining person-centered prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, and supporting others to do so.

Calling all moms, dads, birth workers, and health advocates!

95% of ACTT Workshop participants say they are more confident in asking questions and asserting healthcare rights than they were prior to joining our workshop.

What to expect:

Learn how to ask questions and get the information you need to make your own health choices.

Learn what to say to doctors when their answers feel rushed and unclear

Learn more about trusting your body and what to do or say if something doesn’t feel right, and much more information about advocating for yourself so you can feel confident on your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey, or support others to feel confident on their journey.

Meet Your Facilitators

Sabrina Prioleau (left) and Simone Lee (right) are both doulas from the The Beloved Early Education and Care Collective (BEE Collective) which was formed in 2017, to build an integrated mental health framework to increase the social-emotional development outcomes of children, birth to 6, in Berkeley County, SC. Simone is the reproductive justice director of the BEE Collective and a certified lactation conselor.

Sabrina and Simone also support through doula services, reproductive health information and parent groups.

They will be the guide for workshop participants to speak up and assert their rights to bodily autonomy, dignity, and self-determination in real-life medical and maternity scenarios.

The Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood (BCFSM) invites you to join their ACTT Workshop. By completing this form you are agreeing to attend an interactive workshop. Your active on screen participation in the group discussion will really make a difference for us to learn as a community. BCFSM prides itself on creating safe and respectful spaces that center the lived experiences of ACTT Workshop participants. Please note the ACTT Workshop does not replace childbirth education, but complements it with advocacy skill-building. More information on BCFSM and the ACTT curriculum can be found at www.bcfsm.org.
