| The American Indian Health Commission (AIHC) is looking to recruit 10 Native Youth Leaders, ages 14-26, for a Youth Leadership Committee to participate in the planning committee for our upcoming Native Youth Prevention Summit.
The Native Youth Prevention Summit will be a 3-4 day gathering for Native Youth and their adult advisors and youth advocates.
Your role will be to serve as a youth leader, mentor, and advisor to the Native Youth Leadership Planning Committee. Activities with required participation will include:
- Virtual participation in planning meetings plus follow-up sessions after the summit. These will not take place during school hours.
- Virtual training sessions that will address health topics faced by Native Youth to help build culturally informed strength-based prevention and leadership approaches.
- Joining in creative approaches to development and planning of the summit agenda, activities, materials, and presentations.
- Working with other Native Youth, Tribal and Urban Indian Leaders, subject matter experts, and state partners.
You will be compensated for your time.
Any applicants under 18 will need parent/guardian authorization to participate.
