| During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shuah Roskies set up an informal network she called the Youth in Transition Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Exchange.
This initiative, first established online, brought together legal practitioners working in government, officials and social workers from across the relevant sectors.
This method was in response to Shuah’s belief that all sectors need to collaborate with one another to identify key systemic issues and work together to address them ensure comprehensive support for youth transitioning out of the foster care system.
The Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Exchange group meets once a month for sessions led by professionals from all sectors as a resource and information-sharing platform.
