Coaches, physical education teachers, recreation staff and volunteers can learn the fundamentals of blind soccer 5-a-side football in a free online clinic taught by USA Blind Soccer National Team Head Coach Jorge Polanco and former National Team Coach Ryan Lazaroe, hosted alongside Miami Lighthouse.

In this clinic, participants focus on the fundamentals of blind soccer and how the game differs from able-bodied soccer. It focuses on best practices in coaching and working with individuals who are blind or low vision, as well as a broad overview of classification.

1. Blind soccer, defined An introduction to USABA's role in the sport and a working definition of 5-a-side football — the field, the equipment, the classifications and the rules that shape play.

2. The fundamentals: The core knowledge a coach needs before running a first practice: player roles, the guide and the goalkeeper, spatial calling, safety, and how a session is structured.

3. Where the game comes from: The history of blind soccer internationally and in the United States, and how the sport arrived at this moment — including the U.S. men's national team's first Paralympic appearance at LA28.
