On April 16th, the Legal Support Center for Advocates presents “Understanding the Family Law Legal Process involving Victims of Domestic Violence.” We learned how the legal process works when victims of domestic violence are seeking orders of protection. In addition, we reviewed the procedure for child support and child custody. Lastly, we reviewed the expansion of our Domestic Violence Unit in Nassau County and how you or your clients can receive services. |
