Ambassador for the upcoming year?



Freedom Fishing Foundation follows the principles and practices for nonprofit excellence.

When you sign up for this listing you are indicating that you would be open to joining the Freedom Fishing Family as an Ambassador.


Ambassadors lead Fishing Events.


Ambassadors plan, coordinate, and conduct the event.

They represent the foundation in many aspects including interaction

with charter captains, guests, volunteers. No fishing experience is required; we leave that to the captains.


Skills needed: communication and listening, organization & planning.

A Board Member will always be available at the event to report to.

Ambassadors have voting privlidges when they are in attendence at meetings.



Time requirement to be an Ambassador is

8 to 72 hours for a single event for 1 to 2 events per year.



  • You are expected to attend the monthly board meetings (2nd Thursday of the month 4:30 to 6 PM, either in person or virtually on microsoft teams.


  • You are expected to prepare & report on your responsibilities, assigned or accepted, so the business can be conducted timely in respect for everyone to keep the foundation on task & on time to achieve our goals.



  • We all know life can change at any time, so if you are finding this organization to not be the right fit or their are other barriers to fulfilling your duties we ask that you let us know!


  • Summer to fall of each year we encourage you to attend or audit our meetings. We want you to identify how you want to serve, be it leadership, communication\record keeping, financial, program director, community development (grants & fundraising) or Volunteer Coordinator.

Next Steps

All applications will be reviewed & placed into a spreadsheet for each of the positions.


The executive committee reviews the candidates for each of the positions, interviews if needed and makes the selections based on the person who has demonstrated engagement, commitment and follow through. Others will be asked to serve on the committee, allowing you to gain further experience in a future Ambassador role. Have you previously served as an ambassador. We encourage you to apply for one of the Officer positions on the board.


Positions serve January 1 - December 31 of the upcoming calendar year.
