Lucia's Legacy

Suggestion Submission Form

"Your legacy is every life you touch."

~ Maya Angelou ~

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Dr. Lucia Capacchione's legacy.

Dr. Lucia Capacchione, PhD (1937-2022), was a pioneering art therapist, author, teacher, artist and community-builder. Fueled by a lifetime of seemingly endless creative energy, she was among the earliest clinicians to combine journaling with multi-modal arts to the therapeutic realm (1970's).

Her work developing Lucia Capacchionie's Creative Journal Expressive Arts® therapeutic methods over a forty-plus year timespan, touched the lives, hearts, minds and souls of countless individuals, including clients, students and collaborators.

Her methods distinctly combined visual methods and writing (including non-dominant hand drawing and writing), and other creative activities to take a holistic approach to expressive arts therapy.

Lucia's Legacy is dedicated to honoring Dr. Lucia Capacchione, by sharing a comprehensive collection of her prolific life's work, artistic endeavors and historical gems.

We appreciate your loyalty to Lucia and your support of Lucia's Legacy.

Please provide the contact information below and a brief description of your suggestion (50 words or less).

We will reach out to you to discuss your submission.

The Dr. Lucia Capacchione Institute (LCI), a nonprofit (501(c)3) was founded in 2024 by family members and close friends of Lucia’s to celebrate and share her legacy. Prior to her death in 2022, Lucia had begun plans to start such an institution. LCI realizes this aspiration.

Thank you for your support!
