FAQs

How Does It Work?

By signing up for JCRC mobilize you will receive email alerts and/or text messages on various and immediate ways you can take action to support our cause and community.

In addition, JCRC Mobilize will host workshops and trainings and share resources on how to advocate in your community.

Can you give examples?

We will act in a variety of ways and on a variety of causes but examples include: advocating at the city council level for balanced resolutions around the Israel/Hamas war, learning how to build relationships with school districts to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for Jewish students, and advancing priority legislation at the state level (think security funding, gun violence prevention, reproductive rights, etc).

Do I have to do this?

JCRC Mobilize is completely voluntary. Once you sign up you can choose which initiatives you care about and want to take action on and plug in where it feels important to you.

Are you sending a ton of emails?

Email/text cadence will vary. But the goal is to only reach out when immediate action can be taken on a certain cause or to schedule a specific training or workshop.

I am new to the advocacy space / I am only interested in certain causes - Should I still join? Yes. You are not obligated to participate in any of the shared action items. We will send opportunities as they arise and you are welcome to decline. All of the causes we send out will have detailed information on how to proceed to effect change. No experience required.
