Priscilla Murphy

Priscilla Murphy is the Founder and CEO of Nylex Educational & Counseling Services Inc. She is a board-certified counselor. Priscilla is a Human Resources trainer and facilitator for the 3M Company and provides training for Health Advocate. She has given numerous presentations and workshops on women’s health issues, depression in men, leadership training, gambling, and motivational public speaking. She is dynamic in her presentation, and each seminar is developed personally for the organization or group participants.

Priscilla practiced nursing for 31 years before following her heart and moving into the field of counseling in 1999. She works tirelessly to make her clients understand that they have a voice and can change their lives. She is a strong advocate for individuals in the field of mental health. She graduated from Wilmington University with a dual Master’s Degree in Community Counseling and Education. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Widener University and her Diploma from Bryn Mawr School of Nursing.

Priscilla facilitated a women’s gambling support group for the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Nurses Association, National Negro Council of Women, Delaware Professional Counseling Association, Past Executive Director for Delaware Professional Counseling Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has also served a five-year term as a grant reviewer for the National Advisory Center for Health Care Strategies Inc. for Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she worked to improve care for children with asthma.
