I-95 Central Access Philadelphia (CAP) Project Tour

Looking for a way to celebrate Engineers Week? Join ASCE Philadelphia YMF for a tour of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's I-95 Central Access Philadelphia (CAP) project!

The I-95 CAP Project is a $329 million partnership between PennDOT, the City of Philadelphia, and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation to improve pedestrian and multi-modal access between Center City and the Delaware River Waterfront. The centerpiece of the CAP project will be an amenity-rich, pedestrian-friendly Park at Penn’s Landing that will be constructed on the expanded covered area over I-95 and Columbus Boulevard. The South Street Pedestrian Bridge over I-95, which currently terminates on the east side of I-95, also will be extended over Columbus Boulevard with a new, signature structure: a “Tied-Arch” Bridge.

This tour is not ADA accessible. Accessible via the 25 bus. Hard hat, vest, and steel-toe boots required. 1 PDH is anticipated for this event. Light breakfast will be provided.
