Setting the Stage: Radical Agenda-First National Women's Rights Convention held in Worcester in 1850

Join historians Melinda Marchand and Lisa Connelly Cook for a conversation about the status of women in the early 19th century and the impetus for their call to action.

After an examination of the constraints placed upon 'women in pubic' during this era, the discussion will focus on the conversation's boldness - its diverse speakers, radical themes, and extraordinary demands.

The program is FREE and co-sponsored by Worcester Institute for Senior Education (W.I.S.E.) and Worcester Women's History Project at Museum of Worcester.
