Meet the Presenter

Chelsea Smart, MSSA, LCSW

  

Chelsea Smart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Brandman University, and her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

 

Chelsea is a US Navy Veteran with an understanding of veterans’ programs and benefits and experience advocating for veteran clients in need of mental health and substance use treatment. Following her military service, Chelsea turned her focus to adult behavioral health. She has developed a strong background in addressing co-occurring disorders, advocating for survivors of domestic violence, working in youth corrections, and supporting transitional programs aimed at reducing recidivism.



Chelsea is especially passionate about providing care and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She channels this dedication into her work as a direct care provider, clinical supervisor, and mentor to students in training, ensuring compassionate and inclusive support for all clients.
