For centuries, Jews and Muslims have shared Andalusi music across the Iberic Peninsula and the Maghreb. In this workshop, Laura Elkeslassy will teach songs derived from the classical Andalusi canon of Morocco – Al Ala - in both Arabic and Hebrew. Come experience the interweaving of Arabic and Hebraic Poetry in this ancestral musical heritage. Free and open to the public. All are welcome!
