Conservation Employee Training 2024

The Conservation Employee Training (CET) is a state-wide workshop that provides conservation professionals with in-depth training on technical, administrative and educational aspects related to agriculture best management practices, community conservation, district law, district operations and environmental education.

Registration tickets include Tuesday's breakfast, Tuesday's lunch, Wednesday's lunch, and Wednesday's dinner. Plus, breaks during the meeting. New Employee Orientation on Sept. 16 is an additional cost but includes lunch.

Please note that Monday, Sept. 16 will consist of New Employee Orientation during the day and the Commission and DEA Board Meeting on Monday evening. We will be offering a variety of learning opportunities, through presentations, panels, keynote speakers and networking for district staff to learning new ideas and concepts while also connecting with their collogues.

Presentations will be broken down by various career pathways which may include technical development, managerial responsibilities, educational programing, and administrative responsibilities.

All CET events will start between 8 and 9 am daily. Extra cost's not included in registration are new employee orientation on Monday, Sept. 16 and the NC Conservation District Employee Cookout on Tuesday night on Sept. 17.
