| Several times a year, OMWD offers tours of three of its facilities, including Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve, David C. McCollom Water Treatment Plant, and 4S Ranch Water Reclamation Facility
Tours are scheduled for the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October. Tours begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at approximately noon. The January and April tours begin at OMWD's offices in Encinitas, and tours start at our 4S Ranch Water Reclamation Facility in July and October. Reservations must be made by noon on the Monday prior to the scheduled tour date. Although this is a shuttled tour, there is some walking and stair climbing required, so we recommend wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes and loose clothing. It is also suggested that attendees bring a hat, light jacket, and sunscreen. Tours may be canceled or closed depending on the level of participation. For safety reasons, tours are not held during adverse weather conditions.
A Tour Release Form must be submitted for each participant. |
