Emily Colin

Emily Colin is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author whose award-winning books blend romance and the supernatural. Her debut novel, The Memory Thief, was also a Target Emerging Authors Pick. A former indie bookseller who spent years in the field of community arts engagement, Emily believes deeply in the power of the arts to transform lives.

In her work as an editor and Author Accelerator-certified book coach, she focuses on guiding authors to develop a sustainable creative practice while bringing bold, unforgettable books to life.

Passionate about championing emerging voices, Emily has mentored writers through Pitch Wars, Kiss Pitch, and Duke University Arts Studio.

In a past life, she organized a Coney Island tattoo and piercing show, hauled fish at a dolphin research center, and roamed New York City as an itinerant teenage violinist.

Today, when not crafting her next novel, she can be found chasing her chaotic pets or drinking mochas by the sea.

Visit her online at www.emilycolin.com or on Facebook and Instagram @emilycolinbooks.

Heather Wilson

Heather Wilson became CEO of the Cameron Art Museum in June 2023. Wilson had been serving as deputy director since 2019 and started at the museum in 2006, when she was hired as a development officer. She has worked in the publishing industry, including working as an editor at Houghton Mifflin Company in Boston.

At UNCW, she co-founded the nationally known literary journal, Ecotone, and has continued to author numerous publications and articles. Wilson led Cameron Art Museum’s recent accreditation process with American Alliance of Museums and was the project director for the PNC USCT Park and Stephen Hayes’s sculpture Boundless.

Heather helped to found CAM’s Connections programs for those living with dementia and disability, as well as its Art Enhances Health program for those being treated for cancer at Zimmer Cancer Center.

She is currently working on a history book of Cameron Art Museum. She was a member of the 24-25 Leadership North Carolina cohort and won the 2024 Southeastern Museums Conference Leadership Award.
