Medical gas installer candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of documented practical experience in plumbing or mechanical piping systems as a pre-requisite. This concentrated course provides exposure to all facets of the NFPA 99 Medical Gas & Vacuum standard, including oral, written, and practical instruction.
Medical gas inspector candidates must be employed by a governmental unit as a plumbing and/or mechanical inspector or as an administrator of such inspectors, regularly involved in the design, inspection, or verification of medical gas systems, or an ASSE 6010 medical gas systems installer. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of documented practical experience.
Medical gas maintenance candidates must be employed or contracted by a healthcare facility or actively working with medical gas systems. Candidates must have one (1) year minimum experience in medical gas and vacuum systems maintenance. This credential is designed for those who will perform onsite maintenance of medical gas systems.
Medical gas generalist is open to anyone interested in medical gas and vacuum systems and equipment. This 24-hour block of instruction provides general knowledge of medical gas and vacuum systems for the purpose of continuing education. To register, click on the "Register" button below.
