TSPE Travis Chapter January 2025 Luncheon

The TSPE Travis Chapter is excited about hosting our January 2025 Luncheon at Maggiano's Little Italy on January 8, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. We are pleased to welcome Jim Herbert, Senior Project Manager at CobbFendley, who will present: "The Importance of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE)".

Presentation Overview

CobbFendley will provide a one-hour presentation, including a question-and-answer period, on SUE: the process, applying to civil engineering projects, and the potential benefits. The presentation focuses on the ASCE Standard 38-22, the “Standard Guideline for Investigating and Documenting Existing Utilities” and includes information on the various types of technologies and techniques available – and how using SUE services effectively and efficiently can help to save costs in the overall project budget. 


Meet the Speaker!

Jim is a Senior Project Manager and the SUE sealing engineer for all CobbFendley SUE projects in Central Texas with 24 years of engineering experience. He has been a SUE engineer for 7 years, and his previous experience in municipal infrastructure and site development is an asset to his SUE projects because he understands of the needs and perspective of the design engineers and project managers.
